Emergency Plan, the latest short film from Hell’s Kitchen-based director Anna Pakman, is a taut five-minute thriller that captures the harrowing reality many people with disabilities face during disasters — and the systemic failures that often leave them behind. Filmed inside Pakman’s apartment at Manhattan Plaza, the short was created for the 2025 Easterseals Disability Film Challenge, which is running its awareness campaign this week (until April 21).
