This year’s starting grid for the 2025 Isle of Man TT Supertwin races has been confirmed, with Paul Jordan set to lead off the chasing pack. While the top 20 list features many of the riders and teams we would expect, there’s a new addition to the category for 2025 as Padgetts Racing is entering the class with two-time TT race winner Davey Todd.

Road racing veteran James Hillier has secured a deal to compete at the 2025 Isle of Man TT after securing a ride with Bournemouth Kawasaki. Hillier was originally set to contest the 2025 TT races with OMG Racing’s rebranded squad for the roads, WTF Racing. However, those plans went kaput when OMG Racing announced it would be leaving the British Superbike championship as well as ending all its road racing commitments.

Tai Woffinden has provided an update on his condition after suffering a speedway crash that left him in an induced coma. Woffinden suffered his accident while racing for Polish speedway club Rzeszow when he collided with team-mate Franciszek Majewski at the first turn. The two bikes then locked together as a result of the impact before going on to hit the air fence. Woffinden suffered a long list of injuries as a result of the collision and was airlifted to hospital soon after the crash.

Insurance company Go.Compare has revealed how much was spent on avoidable MOT retests in 2023/24, and it’s not pretty reading. A total of £47,000 was spent to have an MOT retest, with more than 15,000 failed motorbike MOT’s taking place in the same calendar year. According to new research from Go.Compare, the large sums of money spent on MOT retests could have been prevented in the 2023/24 financial year.
