Picture this: you're cruising down a highway at night, lights flowing by at regular intervals. You slightly recline the chair, turn up the music, and drift into a semi-meditative state. On the speakers? ROOTIME's "Starlight." The perfect synthwave accompaniment to your nighttime adventure. The French producer actually has a version of this song with vocals on it. The vibe is quite different, and I gotta say that I personally dig the instrumental version (thus my blogging it).

Always SomethingBanyan and LeyeT created a heartbeat of a track that has a lot of passion and care hidden behind its downtempo demeanour. "More To Say" is a "grieving" track, it's a weird thing to state about an indietronica track, but it has that release, that feeling of letting go, the need for closure and calm. It's all built into the very veins of this track and it makes for not only a beautiful listen, but also just a great, intimate experience.

It's a Sad Realization"Can't Have It All" is an immediate add-on to my melancholia electro playlist - soft, reflective, misty, and eternally ethereal. Miya Folick and Skinny Atlas wash over us like a slow wave crashing over a windy beach, the electro synths fuzzing over gritty ambient sand and dreamwave winds. It's a warm, descriptive sound that has my heart slowing down and my mind racing with all the thoughts I didn't know I needed to get through.

A concept I've had percolating for a little while now is "a feeling for truth." Some people have it, and seek out meaning and experiences that aim to enhance it. Some places have it, and support visitors or inhabitants in coming to feel a sense of ease, peace, and calm. But what is it? It's near impossible for someone like myself to say what 'truth' is, but I am grateful to have some sort of curiosity regarding it.
