    More than 1,771 Congolese refugees fleeing conflict in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) have arrived at the Kyangwali Refugee Settlement in Kikuube District after undergoing security and health screenings. This group, primarily women, children, and the elderly crossed into Uganda via Lake Albert last week, joining over 8,000 refugees who have fled into Kikuube.     Police in Nakaseke District have initiated an investigation into the murder of a woman allegedly committed by Lance Corporal Denis Sserunkuuma from Kaweweta Basic Military Training School. He is accused of killing his wife, Kella Kebirungi Adyeri at approximately 3 PM on Monday, March 3, 2025,  at the Military Training School. According to Sam Twiineamazima, the Savannah Regional Police publicist, the case was reported to Kinyogoga Police Station at 6 PM.
