An 18-year-old girl has been arrested in Nansana for dumping her newborn baby in a pit latrine. Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, Patrick Onyango, has identified the suspect as Moreen Ainembabazi, a maid at the home of Praise Niwagaba, a resident of Nansana East zone in Nansana municipality, Wakiso district. The incident occurred on Monday when Niwagaba found Ainembabazi in the pit latrine room, covered in bloodstains.
