    Clear majority of full council rejects football stadium moveThe projected move of Hastings United football club from Pilot Field to Tilekiln playing fields in Hollington is dead. It was given last rites at a meeting of the full Hastings Borough Council (HBC) last Wednesday. The council owns the freehold of both sites, and a report prepared by its Chief Executive Jane Hartnell, which was presented to cabinet on 5 June, had declared the move as “unviable”.
