Despite fluctuating rosters during Fairport's resurgence as a Section V championship contender the past several years, senior point guard LaShard Lowry Jr. has remained the boys basketball team's catalyst. Lowry Jr. has seen his role shift from a spellbinding ball handler during Fairport's 2023 Section V Class AA finals run, to proving his scoring prowess when the Raiders fell to Padilla — formerly known as Franklin — in overtime of the 2024 Section V Class AAA semifinals.
