News (Intelligence) OMERS has launched a sale process for Navisun, a Massachusetts-based distributed generation (DG) solar firm, three sources familiar with the process told Infralogic. Marathon Capital is acting as financial advisor to OMERS on the sale process, the first two sources said. The process is still in the first round and launched roughly a month ago, the first source added.

Brookfield Renewable Partners [TSX:BEP], is considering a sale of its North American decarbonization-as-a-service platform Luminace, said four sources familiar with the situation. Two of the sources said BEP is also considering a capital raise for the New York-based platform. Toronto-based BEP has not hired an investment bank, three of the sources said.

Canadian pension fund OMERS Infrastructure’s sale of a stake in Leeward Renewable Energy, a utility-scale renewables developer, is in the second round, according to six sources familiar with the matter. OMERS is looking to sell a minority or a significant minority stake in the business, two of the sources said. The company is valued between USD 3bn and USD 4bn, those same sources added. The sellers collected first-round bids in the last week of July, three of the sources said.

The Federal Trade Commission’s focus on IBM’s [NYSE:IBM] acquisition of HashiCorp [NASDAQ:HCP] could be on the overlap between HashiCorp’s Terraform business line and the Red Hat subsidiary of IBM, said two antitrust attorneys and a consultant. In April, Armonk, New York-based IBM agreed to acquire HashiCorp in a deal valued at USD 6.4bn.
