AbstractElectro-catalytic nitrogen (N2) reduction reaction (NRR) is a highly efficient approach for synthesizing ammonia (NH3). Herein, we have designed a series of transition metal atom-based single-layer organic frameworks (TM3(C6O6)2) using density functional theory (DFT) calculations to systematically investigate their electro-catalytic performance for NRR.

Mechanisms of oxygen transport resistance of mesoporous carbon-supported catalysts in fuel cells†
Understanding the mechanisms of oxygen transport resistance of mesoporous carbon catalysts in proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs) is crucial to improve platinum (Pt) utilization. In this work, molecular dynamics (MD) simulations were employed to unravel the origin of local oxygen transport resistance of ionomer–Pt and water–Pt catalysts on mesoporous carbons.

Due to the large-scale consumption of fossil fuels and the extensive emission of combustion gases, the greenhouse effect has intensified, with CO being one of the primary greenhouse gases causing severe environmental impacts. To address this issue, this paper investigates the flow and gas–liquid interface mass transfer behavior of CO bubbles in monoethanolamine solution through numerical simulations, validated by experimental data.

AbstractAccurate tool wear state identification models are essential to ensure manufacturing reliability and efficiency. Tool wear state recognition systems establish a mapping relationship with the tool state by extracting signal features. Therefore, this paper proposes an architecture for identifying the actual wear state of data unbalanced machining tools by applying the power of minimalism in deep learning networks, namely, VanillaNet, combined with recurrence plot encoding technology (RP).

AbstractMicrophase separation within the polyurethane (PU) matrix is caused by thermodynamic incompatibility between the soft and hard segments and the movement of them. Although degree of phase separation (DPS) is a sensitive and important parameter and reflects the formation of the internal hydrophobic network structure, research on the relationship between DPS and the corrosion resistance performance of PU coatings is very limited.

The mechanical characteristics of the road wheel determine many important properties of a tracked vehicle, and its stiffness characteristics have a significant effect on vehicle performance. The radial stiffness of road wheels directly affects the ride comfort of tracked vehicles. Based on the established nonlinear finite element model of the FRW, the static load-bearing conditions of the road wheels and factors affecting the radial stiffness were analyzed in detail.
