TJ Watt seemed to be nearing a deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but it still might be a while until the former Defensive Player of the Year’s contract extension gets done. According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Gerry Dulac, Watt is expected to ink a deal “before the start of the regular season,” an intentionally broad period of time. “However, that doesn’t mean there might not be some resistance and not-so-minor stumbling blocks along the way — and for good reason,” Dulac wrote.

The Dallas Mavericks are reportedly not very interested in trading the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, which will almost certainly be Cooper Flagg. But if they do, the Phoenix Suns could be an interesting trade partner. In a way, the Mavericks and Suns are alike; they both executed a trade that was widely panned at the time. For Phoenix, however, it seems as if its trade — for Bradley Beal — has definitively failed.

The Dallas Mavericks have the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, and it is presumed they will take Duke superstar Cooper Flagg with the pick. But ESPN's insiders think a trade with the San Antonio Spurs could be of great benefit to the team. While there have been theories that Dallas general manager Nico Harrison, the much-maligned executive who traded away Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers this season, will similarly trade the chance to draft Flagg.

Glad that bad Murray and Porter returned just in time. If either shows up in the 4th, the Nuggets are going back to Denver with a 3-2 lead.

Not saying that they should, but the Spurs or Thunder certainly could bowl over the Mavericks with good, young players and future draft picks if they really want Cooper Flagg. Also seems like Dallas became much more plausible of a destination for Giannis.
