The Vindicator is a daily publication that caters to the residents of Youngstown, Ohio, and the surrounding areas, including Mahoning County, southern Trumbull County, and northern Columbiana County. Founded in 1869, The Vindicator has a long history in the community. As of September 1, 2019, it became part of Ogden Newspapers Inc., based in Wheeling, West Virginia. The paper is now published under the direction of The Tribune Chronicle team, with Charles Jarvis overseeing operations and Brenda Linert serving as the editor. The new ownership has expressed excitement about the future of The Vindicator.
