IntroductionClick to copy section linkSection link copied!Termed as a “silent killer,” pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), a malignancy of the pancreas, exhibits a devastating 5-year survival rate of only ∼13% with minimal improvement observed over the past decade. (1) A key factor contributing to these disheartening outcomes is the significant resistance of PDAC to conventional treatment modalities, including chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

AbstractROP-GTPase Regulatory Proteins (RGRPs) have been shown to control plant morphogenesis, development and immunity, however, their role in specialized metabolism is hitherto not known. Here, we demonstrate that specific RGRPs control monoterpene indole alkaloid (MIA) biosynthesis by interacting with distinct Rho of Plants (ROP) in Catharanthus roseus.
