AbstractTurmeric is a centuries-old ethnomedicine in Asia. Previously our laboratory demonstrated in the adult life stage-specific (ALSS) Drosophila model of Parkinson disease (PD) that Curcumin (K)-mediated dopaminergic (DAergic) neuroprotection is absent in the transition stage of adult life during which late-onset neurodegenerative disorders like PD sets-in, suggesting its limitation as a therapeutic agent.

Pérez, chairman and CEO of the Related Group, donated the four-bedroom, five-bathroom unit at 1 Collins Avenue to the downtown Miami-based nonprofit, which then flipped the condo to Lawrence Gould, property records show. The 3,339-square-foot unit sold for nearly $3,000 per square foot.

An investor just picked up an apartment complex in one of Dallas-Fort Worth’s hottest multifamily submarkets. Knightvest Capital bought the 240-unit Encore Apartments at 4700 Tribeca Lane in Plano, according to a news release. The seller was an entity of Arizona-based Equus Management Inc., and Charles Duff signed deed documents as president of Equus. The price wasn’t disclosed, but Knightvest borrowed $40.7 million from Invesco for the purchase, deed records show.

Onni Group hit 10 figures in refinancing an eight-tower apartment portfolio in Chicago and Los Angeles. The Canadian firm received an $875 million loan on a five-year, fixed-rate deal, plus $125 million in mezzanine debt, to bolster the 2,791-unit portfolio, built between 2015 and 2023, CoStar reported, citing a Fitch Ratings report. The financing comes to $358,295 per unit. Wells Fargo Bank, Citi Real Estate Funding and Goldman Sachs provided the debt, which will be packed and sold to investors.

OWow wants to add to the size of its proposed woodpile in Downtown Oakland, with plans for the tallest mass-timber building in the nation. The locally based developer has once again revised plans for a 28-story, 496-unit apartment highrise at 1523 Harrison Street, the San Francisco Business Times reported. The new plans come after oWow had revised its plans in March of last year to a 25-story, 361-unit tower. And that followed initial plans for 20 stories and 256 apartments.

Zoom towns are facing a potential bust, with experts saying their housing markets could be overvalued by as much as 40 percent. Cities like Austin, Texas and Jacksonville, Florida, whose residential real estate markets saw price growth skyrocket in the past four years, could come crashing down, Reventure Consulting CEO Nick Gerli said in an interview on CNBC. “These pandemic boom towns, they just got way too expensive over the last two or three years,” he said.
