1 IntroductionLung cancer is one of the most prevalent cancers and the leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide (Siegel et al., 2021). As the major histological subtype, lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) accounts for ∼40% of all cases and is increasing year by year. Despite improvements of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches, the 5-year overall survival rate of LUAD remains very poor due to the tumor recurrence, metastasis and drug resistance (Hirsch et al., 2017).
