Abstract This paper explores the extent to which community farming can be a component of a community-based circular food system. Community farming is part of a broader pattern of civic agriculture, whereby more localized food production and consumption are linked to a wider, and sometimes global, set of economic, social and environmental factors.

AbstractGiant cell arteritis (GCA) is a prevalent artery and is strongly correlated with age. The role of CD4+ Memory T cells in giant cell arteritis has not been elucidated. Through single-cell analysis, we focused on the CD4+ Memory T cells in giant cell arteritis. eQTL analysis and mendelian randomization analysis identified the significant genes which have a causal effect on giant cell arteritis risk.

Key PointsQuestion What is the association of a flavonoid-rich diet with dementia risk among UK adults? Findings In this cohort study of 121 986 UK Biobank participants, those with the highest adherence to a flavonoid-rich diet, specifically intakes of tea, red wine, and berries, had a lower risk of dementia. Reductions were more pronounced in participants with a high genetic risk, hypertension, and depressive symptoms.

This scoping review identified a large number of policies, strategies, guidelines, frameworks and recommendations in the UK and Ireland addressing topics related to preconception health and care (n = 278). These resources recognised the period preceding conception as an opportunity to optimise preconception health, by identifying common approaches for preconception health and care optimisation and a wide range of preconception health-influencing factors.
