BynumAfter a playing career that included many stops around the world, Jawad Williams — who won a national championship at Carolina in 2005 — is coming home for his second assistant coaching job in the NBA. Williams, 42, who was born in Cleveland at nearby St. Edward High School in Lakewood, is joining the staff of head coach Kenny Atkinson as an assistant coach with the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he played parts of three seasons from 2008 to 2011.

By R.L. BynumNorth Carolina snagged its second catcher from the transfer portal, and didn’t have to go very far to get him. After two seasons at Duke, Macon Winslow is transferring to UNC. He made the announcement Monday afternoon on his Instagram account, calling it a “New Chapter.”The 6–0, 200-pound Hertford native hit .278 with 13 doubles, nine home runs with 48 RBI and 31 walks with a slugging percentage of .490 and a .391 on-base percentage last season.

Chase Burns went 10-1 in his final year of college at Wake Forest. The lone loss? A 6-5 final against the Tar Heels. UNC put up five runs in the first two innings. Burns struck out 14 but allowed three Carolina homers. Folger Boaz got the win for UNC.

This might explain why #UNC women's programs that have won NCAA titles in the last two years — field hockey, soccer and lacrosse — aren't included.

1) do we absolutely have to share revenue with this program in order to be competitive 2) will sharing revenue with this program actually change our competitive position or will we still stink 3) how much money do we have?
