EDINBORO – The Edinboro Athletic Department recently announced 11 inductees into the Edinboro Athletic Hall of Fame as selected by the Hall of Fame Committee. The induction ceremony is scheduled for Sept. 26. There are six members of the 1970 team in the Edinboro Hall of Fame. They are Dennis Creehan, Tom Herman, Rich Iorfido, Jack McCurry, Jim Romaniszyn and former coach and teacher of Corry Area High School Joe Sanford.

Last Friday's Junior softball game was a wild one in Columbus. “What a game. It is always a tough game when facing another Corry team, and we certainly had to fight for this one," claimed J&M Concrete coach Haleigh Burlew after a 9-8 victory. Koda Kuzma started off well in the circle, with Grace Cummings and Lea Terrill, respectively, coming in to end the game. "Our bats were the deciding factor," Burlew said. "Contact was solid all night, and a new player, Brielle Silvis, got her first hit.

RANDOLPH. N.Y. — It was a great night for the Clymer/Sherman/Panama track and field teams at the Class D championships on Thursday. The CSP girls won their first Class D title in the program since merging, while the boys finished second. The girls had 155.5 points with Frewsburg second at 91. The boys (87) were second to Maple Grove (94).

After going 3-17 in 2024, Corry's baseball team had an impressive resurgence this past season, going 10-10 and 5-5 in the region. After starting out 1-4, the Beavers won four of the last six games, ending with a District 10 loss to Fairview — the third loss to the Tigers. "We had a couple of statement wins" coach Jake Cirigliano noted. "We played the two teams that played in the district finals."Kamdyn Moon led the team in hitting .426. Karson Chamberlin batted .333, as did Wesley Kurelowech.

CLYMER, N.Y. - A botched defensive play in the third inning cost the No. 3 Clymer/Sherman/Panama baseball team early and No. 6 Portville scored the go-ahead run in the seventh to eliminate the Wolfpack from the Class C quarterfinal playoffs winning 4-3 on Monday. CSP, which had five errors, ends its season at 10-6. With Portville up 1-0, the visitors scored on a sacrifice fly in the third. On the poor throw home, CSP tried to gun down another runner at third and the ball went into leftfield.

FORESTVILLE, N.Y. — Clymer/Sherman's softball team was guilty of five errors in Tuesday's Class D playoff game as No. 2 Forestville blanked third-seeded C/S 2-0. Both teams were strong in the circle, but Forestville was just a little bit stronger at the plate. "It was a disappointing end to the season, but it's nothing to hang our heads about," claimed coach Dave Bodamer. "We struggled again with our offense, but Megan Gruber is a very good pitcher with senior experience.

Nolan Carey and Blake Cook were simply awesome at the state track meet. Here's what they had to say:"The keys for my success were just trusting my technique and having confidence," claimed Carey. "Having my dad there as my coach was special, because he's been there for me since I got into the sport. "Honestly, he seemed more nervous than I was."Derek McCray, the school record holder at 211-4 from 2000, said he "couldn't be prouder of this kid.”"What an accomplishment,” he said.
