    UNION CITY — Students at Union City Area High School will be presenting “The Addams Family: School Edition” this weekend in the high school auditorium. Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and again at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $5 for students and seniors and $7 for adults. They can be purchased during the school day at the high school office or at the doors.

    CLYMER, N.Y. — A group of 11 students from Clymer FBLA — that is, the Future Business Leaders of America — have returned home from a recent state conference as champions, placewinners and national qualifiers. The conference took place in Rochester from April 7-9. Clymer received second place honors in a Chapter of the Year event, which adviser Lisa Perry said qualifies them as the second-best program in the state of New York.

    After setting a district record in the 100-breaststroke and qualifying for states, Corry's Logan Amy was named to the 2024-25 All-District 10 swim team. He was also tabbed to the Region 2 first team all-stars in that event. Amy won at districts with a time of 57.60. Making second team in the 200 freestyle relay, from Union City, were junior Luke Wright, senior Hayden Daubenspeck, senior Tucker Pike and senior Joe Galbraith. Fairview was again the region champion.

    There will be several Easter egg hunts for families to choose from on Saturday. One popular event is the Easter egg hunt at Mead Park starting at 11 a.m. There will also be a buffet breakfast with the Easter Bunny at the Corry VFW Post 264, 1151 Mead Ave., from 8 to 11 a.m. The cost for breakfast is $10 for adults and $7 for kids 10 and under. Kids can participate in the egg hunt for free.

    LECOM Corry Memorial Hospital Administrator Dan Grolemund recently accepted the CEO position at LECOM Warren General Hospital. Grolemund’s last day in Corry will be Friday, May 30. “I have absolutely loved my time here at Corry Memorial Hospital,” Grolemund said. “The care team at CMH and in the LECOM Health system, from top to bottom, is second to none. I have made outstanding partnerships with community leaders, local businesses and with the school system.
