SARS-CoV-2 infection can lead to multiorgan systemic damage and prolonged symptoms over many weeks and months, a condition known as long COVID or post-COVID syndrome or condition. Certain populations, such as older people, those with chronic comorbidities and severe infections, socioeconomically deprived populations, and minority ethnic populations, have been disproportionately affected by acute COVID-19.

They also raise important questions about its use as a defence, and about the place of Māori tikanga (custom) in the law and how it is taught.

BackgroundThis review will use definitions of physical activity and exercise endorsed by the US Centers for Disease Prevention and Control, with the former referring to bodily movement produced by skeletal muscles and resulting in energy expenditure, and the latter referring to “a subcategory of physical activity that is planned, structured, repetitive, and purposive in the sense that improvement or maintenance of one or more components of physical fitness is the objective” [1].
