For three years, he focused solely on his involvement in FFA, the Future Farmers of America club. It was only at the urging of his coach, Mickey Steele, and his close friends that he decided to give archery a try during his senior year.

The White County High School baseball team closed out their regular season with back-to-back wins over Stone Memorial. The first game, played in Cumberland County, was one that the Warriors had to come from behind to steal. The Panthers put a single run on the board in the bottom of the first inning and nothing changed for the next two innings. In the top of the fourth, White County took the lead 2-1, but it wasn’t going to last long.

White County High School’s flag football team demonstrated their strength this week, securing two decisive victories over Smith County in a doubleheader that showcased their offensive firepower and defensive strength. The Warriorettes kicked off the night on Monday with a commanding 48-0 victory, establishing their dominance early. In second game, White County continued right where they left off and took home another shutout – this time with a 31-0 win.

2015•The 6th Annual Aaron Shafer memorial Road Race saw more than 200 bikers take part in the event with $4,000 in cash and $3,000 in prizes on the line. •White County FFA held their Spring Banquet where, among other things, they recognized the recipients of State Degrees: Zoe Cantrell, Natalye Steele, Cody Simmons, Hannah Wilkins, Clay Wilson, Josh Templeton, Blake Carter, Colton Hudgens, and Daniel Bray.

White County Board of Commissioners have approved funding allocations aimed at addressing critical community needs, including substance abuse treatment, and support services. During the April 21 meeting, the commissioners voted to appropriate funds to three key organizations: Seeds of Hope received $50,000, White County Schools was granted $3,600, and the Tennessee Community Services Agency was allocated $36,000. Tina Lomax, representing Seeds of Hope, was present to speak with the board.
