    STURGEON BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — After years of moving, debate and refurbishment, a historic structure in Door County is celebrating its seasonal opening. The Door County Granary in Sturgeon Bay Plaza is complete and will be offering tours Wednesday. Guests can enjoy docent-led tours with the members of the Sturgeon Bay Historical Society, lemonade and cookies. The Teweles and Brandeis Grain Elevator was built in 1901 along the Sturgeon Bay waterfront.

    GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A kitchen fire at an apartment on Green Bay’s west side left three people without a home. Around 5:10 p.m. Tuesday, Green Bay Metro firefighters were dispatched to a two-story apartment complex in the 500 block of South Fisk Street for the report of a small cooking fire. When crews arrived on scene, smoke was visible and the complex was subsequently evacuated.

    (WTAQ-WLUK) — The attorney for convicted murderer Taylor Schabusiness has filed a motion to withdraw from her appeals case. Schabusiness is serving a life term with no chance at parole, plus another 10.5 years after that, for the Feb. 22, 2022, murder of Shad Thyrion at a Green Bay west side home. The jury rejected her insanity defense. The appeals portion of the case was assigned to attorney Greg Petit and he later filed what is called a no-merit report in November 2024.

    APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Finding a suitor for a 43-acre college campus is no small task, especially when multiple counties own the site. Outagamie and Winnebago counties can now look for a new use for the UW-Oshkosh Fox Cities campus as it closes its doors after 77 years of serving the Fox Valley. Outagamie County’s 36-person board approved a resolution Tuesday, the final step in the county agreements.

    GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The city of Green Bay’s vision for a fire station/apartment complex combo on the corner of South Broadway and Arndt Street in the Shipyard District has its first renderings. It comes about one year after selecting General Capital Group, from Milwaukee, out of 11 developers interested in taking on the project.
