TULLY, N.Y. — GRAPHIC WARNING: VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISEDThe Central New York SPCA announced an arrest in an investigation into animal cruelty on Wednesday. The CNY SPCA said investigators charged Charles E. Kehrer, 42, of Tully, N.Y. with 12 counts of animal cruelty relating to livestock and domesticated animals.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.Y. — After running the Four Seasons Golf & Ski Center in Fayetteville for more than 50 years, its owner, John Goodfellow, said it's time to say goodbye. Goodfellow told CNY Central that owning the popular property has been a lot of work. He said he wasn't sure how much longer he could keep doing it. He said, "It's getting tougher and tougher."For those who enjoy the slopes, saying goodbye will be hard.

Following a historic rookie season, Syracuse Football Coach Fran Brown has been named the Paul "Bear" Bryant Award Newcomer Coach of the Year. The award, given by the American Heart Association, celebrates the achievements of an individual who has no previous head coaching experience at the NCAA Division I football level. It is given every January to a college football coach for their contributions that improve the sport for athletes and fans alike, both on and off the field.

Syracuse Football entered the JMA Wireless Dome today to take on their toughest opponent of the entire season, and they prevailed. The Miami Hurricanes entered this matchup 10-1, hoping to fly out of Central New York with a bid to the ACC Championship Game clenched, and their College Football Playoff resume strengthened. Two touchdowns put the 'Canes up 14-0 in the first quarter.

8-3 Syracuse is priming up for their biggest game of the year, hosting the University of Miami. The Hurricanes are 10-1, their only loss of the year coming to Georgia Tech on Nov. 9th. The Orange topped the Yellowjackets early in the season, and will look to make waves in the 'Canes ACC championship aspirations, as well as expanded College Football Playoff conversation. A SU win would mean Miami is booted from the ACC championship game against SMU, clearing the way for the Clemson Tigers.
