KATY, Texas (KIAH) — The Texas Center for the Missing has issued a Houston Regional AMBER Alert on behalf of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office for Alexa Jones, 15. Authorities believe she is in imminent danger. Alexa was last seen on December 13, 2024, around 12:00 a.m., in the 19400 block of Otter Trail in Katy, Texas, 77449. She was wearing a black shirt, gray sweatpants, and prescription glasses.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) – Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence was carted off the field after taking a violent elbow to the facemask from Houston linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair, prompting two sideline-clearing scuffles. Lawrence was on the ground for several minutes as teammates came to his defense and mobbed Al-Shaair, whose perceived cheap shot could result in a suspension. Lawrence eventually was helped to his feet and loaded into the front seat of a cart to be taken off the field.

HOUSTON (KIAH) — It’s that time of year again when the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is steps up enforcement for Thanksgiving to ensure Texans have a safe holiday. This week, Texas Highway Patrol (THP) Troopers will increase enforcement efforts on the roads from Wednesday, Nov. 27, through Sunday, Dec. 1. Troopers will be looking for people not wearing seat belts, driving while intoxicated, speeding and failing to follow the Move Over, Slow Down law, among other traffic violations.
