HOUSTON (KIAH) — Anti-ICE protests becoming riots in cities like Los Angeles led Houston-area U.S. Rep. HOUSTON (KIAH) — The person who made online death threats to Astros pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. and his children is an overseas bettor, Houston police said Monday. Investigators with HPD’s Major Offenders Division spoke to the man who told them he was intoxicated and upset about losing a bet on the Astros when he lashed out at McCullers following a poor pitching performance on May 10. The man’s name is not being released, because HPD has not charged him with a crime.
