Donald Trump's backflip places a 90 day pause on tariffs for most of the countries on his so-called "liberation day" list, but he's keeping the pressure on Beijing - China now faces tariffs of 125 per cent.

Australian exports to the US continue to face a 10 per cent tariff, while Chinese goods will now face levies of at least 104 per cent. Last night across Australia's cities and suburbs the eerie theme music rang out and many of us sat down to watch the, at-times, preposterous drama unfold. The series has become a worldwide phenomenon and the first time in a long time that many of us have made an appointment with the TV - returning us to the days of old when we'd wait for the next episode in a series to air.

Former Minister Stuart Robert says he's not been named in the Robodebt Royal Commission's "sealed" chapter. "I have NOT received a notice of inclusion in the 'sealed section' and I understand they have all gone out." He told the ABC in a statement.
