More than half of UK businesses now use AI but employers need to do more to address the concerns of their staff, says Acas. More than a quarter (26%) of workers are worried that artificial intelligence (AI) will lead to job losses, according to a new YouGov survey commissioned by Acas. The poll also found that just under a fifth (17%) were worried about AI making errors, while 15% were concerned about a lack of regulation.

A survey of 1,000 employees aged 18-27 years old who are currently working in UK businesses has found that 67% of them have ambitions to start their own business.

Small businesses owners spend an average of £4,500 a year making sure that they comply with UK tax laws; the Federation of Small Businesses is campaigning to get that cost reduced. The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) is calling for the cost of tax compliance to be lowered by a third, a time limit to be set on tax investigations, and for HMRC to speed up replies to customer queries. FSB research shows that small business owners spend an average of £4,500 and 44 hours per year on tax admin.
