I am not a part of the group from the Pacific North West, nor a staff member for the organization building homes. I am a floating traveler escaping an overstuffed schedule in California and hoping to immerse myself in Spanish.

My safety, well being, conformability is at stake. How often I wonder if I am traveling in a culture where a female is acting out of line if she holds eye contact. It does not matter what city I visit, continent even, there is no escaping curious eyes. Especially the stares of men.
