The brief was to create a luxurious feel, using functional materials and finishes appropriate for family life. Interior designer Ashley Maddison from AM Interior Studio created an open-plan layout conducive to connection, facilitated by a sizeable island with “ample stool space for entertaining, doing homework or playing a card game”, she says.
