The Florida Supreme Court is ordering a 10-day suspension for Broward County Judge Mardi Levey Cohen, who admits she spread unverified information about her political opponent in the 2022 election and led a church to believe its tax-exempt status with the IRS was in danger. The decision came eight months after the court rejected a more lenient agreement between Levey Cohen and the Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission, which polices the behavior of judges on and off the bench.
