Patience Fakai, Kaduna state commissioner for business innovation and technology, says Uba Sani administration is committed to equipping young people with employable skills and self-reliance through targeted vocational training. The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) says troops have rescued 146 kidnap victims and thwarted oil theft worth N103 million within one week of sustained operations across the country. A statement by Markus Kangye, director of defence media operations, said the operations were in line with President Bola Tinubu’s directive on national food security. Kangye said from May 8 to 15, troops destroyed multiple terrorist camps and rehabilitated civilians affected by conflict.

The Nasarawa state police command says its officers have arrested a 21-year-old woman suspected of trafficking arms to terrorist groups. The suspect, identified as Fatima Salisu and a native of Funtua in Katsina state, was reportedly transporting a large cache of live ammunition through Keana and Doma LGA of Nasarawa state when she was intercepted.
