Pediatric respiratory syncytial virus (RSV)-related acute lower respiratory tract infection (LRTI) commonly requires hospitalization. The Clinical Progression Scale Pediatrics (CPS-Ped) measures level of respiratory support and degree of hypoxia across a range of disease severity, but it has not been applied in infants hospitalized with severe RSV-LRTI.

Hematoxylin and eosin were purchased from Solarbio Technology Co., Ltd. (Beijing, China). TUNEL kit was purchased from Boster Biological Technology Co., Ltd. (Wuhan, Hubei, China).

AbstractThere has been a growing disconnect between learners and educators within medical education. As the landscape of medical education has been altered post-pandemic and cultural shifts favor “safe spaces,” we sought to explore the tension that exists between a sense of safety and the discomfort inherent within the learning process. Through separate focus groups conducted with trainees and faculty, a common theme emerged: a sense of vulnerability.

Health disparities are pervasive in pediatrics. We aimed to describe disparities among patients who are likely to be cared for in the PICU and delineate how sociodemographic data are collected and categorized. Using MEDLINE as a data source, we identified studies which included an objective to assess sociodemographic disparities among PICU patients in the United States.
