WEST HOUSTON – A man has been arrested and charged in the deadly stabbing of a woman and her child. Houston Police Department say the suspect, 29-year-old Kendrick Rayvon Fisher, is charged with capital murder. According to investigators, Fisher is the victims’ brother and uncle.

HOUSTON – This week’s adoptable dog for KPRC 2′s Pet Project is Rocky, a three-year-old German Shepherd mix. According to the Houston Humane Society, Rocky loves to show his appreciation for others and gives kisses to anyone he meets. The shelter says Rocky’s youthful spirit is very evident when he plays with his toys. For families who like to stay active, Rocky is more than happy to join you on a walk.

HOUSTON – This week’s pup on KPRC 2′s Pet Project is Blizzard, a two-year-old Labrador mix. KPRC 2 partners with the Houston Humane Society to help all pets find their forever home. The shelter describes Blizzard as a brave pup with a sad start to life. According to the Houston Humane Society, Blizzard is an animal cruelty survivor. However he does not let this stop him from living out his best life!The shelter says despite Blizzard’s tough background, he has a big heart and a sweet demeanor.

HOUSTON – Meet Betty Boop, featured on this week’s KPRC 2 Pet Project. KPRC 2 is working with the Houston Humane Society to find homes for all pets in need. According to the HHS, Miss Betty Boop is one of their long-term stays, and has been at the shelter for more than 100 days. Despite this, the shelter says Betty Boop is “a loyal girl who loves learning new tricks.”We’re told Betty Boop also enjoys some cuddles and loves to give kisses. The HHS says her heartworm treatment is 100% sponsored.
