Yorgos Lanthimos’ latest film Poor Things has just been released on digital and Blu-Ray, and this is a film I had been waiting to watch for a very long time, ever since it was first announced in May 2021. Poor Things is an adaptation of Scottish novelist Alasdair Gray’s 1992 novel of the same name, which, in turn, is a retelling of Mary Shelley’s novel Frankenstein (1818).
