    Begusarai police on Tuesday evening arrested four people after a failed bike robbery bid in Garhpura area, SP Manish said on Wednesday. "Although, the criminals failed in their bid, police got information that they fled the spot waving firearms on their bike. A police team immediately got engaged in a vehicle-checking drive near Sujanpur chowk. A little later four people on two bikes reached the spot. Seeing the police approaching them, they started fleeing.

    Begusarai: Unidentified criminals shot dead a 70-year-old farmer over an old land dispute at Sanha East village under Sahebpurkamal police station area in Begusarai district on Sunday night. The deceased was identified as Suresh Mahto. Suresh's younger brother, Sudhir Mahato, said that the criminals shot him from outside the closed grill of the verandah where his brother was sleeping. "On hearing the sound of firing, family members rushed to the verandah only to see him lying in a pool of blood.
