Daily rain threats return: Midday showers to start week, severe threat comes later

Daily rain threats are back! The first half of the week is just rain, with maybe some thunder. Later this week is when our severe weather threat kicks in. Tuesday starts out pretty dry. The morning is the easiest time to get outside. But rain returns by the late morning/early afternoon. Generally the rain/storm threat fades around 7 p.m. or so.Overall, the rain chances are most likely in the afternoons and evenings the next few days.

After a beautiful Mother's Day weekend, the daily chances for rain are back in the forecast, starting Monday.The morning starts with warm temperatures in the 60s and some breezes. A few showers are moving in through the early drive, but anything we see will remain low impact. The rest of the day brings more likely chances for showers and maybe a rumble or two of thunder.

One dry day was nice. Three in a row will be better! We'll just have to deal with one day of rain before we get there.There are some stray showers/sprinkles around Thursday morning. Most towns are dry.We'll deal with one more round of scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon/evening. Plan on rain and a little lightning, but no severe weather is expected. Rain Thursday fades after 9 p.m.Friday will be dry, but a little cooler, only hitting the mid-to-upper 60s.

Same system, different day: Low-pressure system brings rounds of rain for Greater Cincinnati

Stubborn showers are still around Tuesday. Same area of low pressure bringing us rounds of rain. Tuesday, the location of the center of that system has shifted into central Ohio, so areas north the river will probably see the rain more frequently than those to the south. Butler, Warren and Clinton counties are likely the wettest spots.

Cincinnati has had rain or storms for six days in a row. Go ahead and make Monday the seventh. Stubborn showers remain part of the forecast Monday and Tuesday before a mid-week break.Monday morning, there is a stalled out low sitting over Louisville. This will fire up some showers as we head through the day. Due to the location of the low, our rain will be drifting in from south/southeast to north/northwest. Best chances for rain will be late morning through mid-afternoon.

GOOD STUFF. THEY’RE EXCITED TO SEE THAT MURAL. 518 WE’RE TALKING ABOUT THE FORECAST AND SEVERE WEATHER WARNINGS EARLIER AND GOT SOME MORE COMING, PROBABLY. YEAH. WHEN YOU HEAR THAT SOUND GO OFF IN THE NEWSROOM AT 4.25, IT’S LIKE, OH BOY, OKAY. AND IT WAS A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING. SO NOTHING TOO CRAZY. IT HAS SINCE PASSED. BUT THAT’S WHERE WE’RE GOING TO WATCH THROUGHOUT TODAY. WE’RE PROBABLY HAVE MORE OF THEM GETTING TO THE AFTERNOON.

WE’VE GOT GRADUATION FRIDAY, FLYING PIG EVENTS STARTING FRIDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY AS WELL. SO WITH RAIN IN THE FORECAST, OBVIOUSLY EVERYONE IS WONDERING ABOUT TIMING AND OBVIOUSLY TIMING MAY CHANGE, RIGHT? BECAUSE TODAY WE HAVE A FRONT SITTING TO OUR SOUTH. IT WILL LIFT TO THE NORTH, IT WILL MOVE THROUGH.
