    EVERETT — Boeing is expanding the amount of space it occupies in Everett, leasing nearly 279,000 square feet in an industrial complex at 5900 36th Ave. W, according to a report by real estate firm Kidder Mathews. The lease for Boeing begins this month on a 278,937-square-foot building in an industrial complex called Bridge Point Everett 500 – Building A. It’s unclear what Boeing plans to do with the warehouse building, which is 2 miles from its Everett Plant at Paine Field.

    EVERETT — Paine Field Community Day will be held 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 17 at the Snohomish County owned airport. The youth-focused event, in its second year, will feature aircraft displays, talks with pilots, educational opportunities and a variety of local food vendors.
