96 $100 Drink by: 2025-2040 If you ever wanted a window into how good the Barossa was in 2021, then this wonderful wine from Dave Powell is the one. Aromas are completely engaging with a savoury, fruit cake and plum character with a slightly spicy lift. The palate is sumptuously rich and balanced. It’s almost effortlessly smooth and lingering with loads of dark fruits massing in the middle palate before heading to a long finish. Terrific wine.

95 $30 Drink by: 2025-2035 A picture-perfect vintage has produced one of the best Cabernets under this label yet. Bold statement of blackcurrant and lifted blackberry on the nose with a trace of bay leaf and dried herb character. Beautifully seductive and smoothly textured palate with the structure and definition that is distinctly Cabernet, giving it purpose. A wine like this selling for just $30 is crazy. 92 $30 Drink by: 2025-2033 It was a very early and compact vintage, resulting in wines of good fruit concentration and generosity, even with Rieslings such as this. Light lift of lemon rind and apple on the nose lead through to a palate that retains a crisp and refreshing appeal. A twist of lemon and an edgy zest complete a very tidy wine for drinking in the short term. Variety: White Wine, Riesling Categories: Drinks, Australian Wines

This is a most stylish Shiraz from Langhorne Creek. It’s spicy and vibrant with tremendous palate energy delivered on its medium body. Spicy with a little black pepper lift to start. Balanced and poised with a dry sage-like character adding to the palate. Ready to rock and roll now.

94 $40 Drink by: 2025-2033 Love this wine. It’s from a very good year and it reflects both the vintage and region. Perfumed aromas of dark cherry and blackcurrant infused with a little mint julep sweetness. The medium-bodied and silky-smooth palate is packed with fine chalky tannins and a little cedary oak. A beautiful, poised finish completes a really attractive wine for drinking over the next five or so years. Variety: Red Wine, Cabernet, Cabernet Sauvignon Categories: Drinks, Australian Wines
