by Reading Fightin PhilsFive members of the 2023 Reading Fightin Phils were selected to play in the Arizona Fall League on Friday. Andrew Baker, Jordi Martinez, Dominic Pipkin, Oliver Dunn, and Matthew Kroon will play for the Scottsdale Scorpions next month in Arizona. Dunn earned an invitation after a stellar 2023 season that saw him lead the R-Phils, and the Eastern League, in a variety of offensive categories. Dunn hit .271 with 21 home runs and 78 RBI this past season.

by Reading Fightin PhilsJohan Rojas and Orion Kerkering, both members of the 2023 Reading Fightin Phils, were named the 2023 Paul Owens Award winners by the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday. The award is annually given out to the Phillies’ top minor league hitter and pitcher. Rojas entered the season on the Fightin Phils roster after excelling in over 60 games in 2022. He swiped 29 bags and hit .260 to finish off last season. Rojas excelled again in 2023 with the R-Phils.

by Reading Fightin PhilsReading Fightin Phils pitcher Matt Osterberg was named Eastern League Pitcher of the Week, announced by Minor League Baseball on Monday. Osterberg was excellent on Thursday night at Binghamton. The lefty tossed seven shutout innings, allowing just two hits and six strikeouts. Osterberg has been impressive down the stretch for the Fightin Phils. He posted a 1.88 ERA in September and struck out 11 hitters without issuing a walk.

As the 2023 home schedule winded down, the Reading Fightin Phils announced their end-of-season awards on the night of Saturday, Sept. 9. Game times, road trips, and a full R-Phils promotional schedule consisting of giveaways, appearances, and more will be announced at a later date.
