The chaos of life can be gorgeous and enticing. We are all guilty of rushing between the vibrancy of never-ending social plans, and intensity of our rewarding workloads, ending in a drastic burn-out of exhaustion. Not to mention the restraint of emotion that comes with this way of living; everything is so rushed that we are scarcely given the time of day to think about how we feel.

March 5, 2024, Presidential Primary ElectionIn a Presidential Primary, voters registered with a political party will receive a ballot containing the presidential contest and only the presidential candidates for the party they are registered. All other contests will list all candidates regardless of party affiliation. If you are registered as an Independent, Decline to State, or No Party Preference voter, you will receive a nonpartisan ballot, which will not include the presidential contest.

In Ponticelli Limited v Gallagher, the Scottish appeal court, the Court of Session (CS) found that an employee’s right to participate in a Share Incentive Plan (SIP) transferred under TUPE, even though it was not referred to in his contract of employment. This meant that the purchaser of the business was required to provide a benefit that was substantially equivalent to the SIP following the purchase.

With effect from 6 April 2023, certain compensation limits will be increased by the Employment Rights (Increase of Limits) Order 2023 reflecting a 12.6% increase in the retail prices index in the 12 months to September 2022. These new limits apply where the event giving rise to the claim in question, for example the termination of employment, occurs on or after 6 April 2023.
