Ronald Knoll was a guest speaker April 17 at the Zebulon Lions Club. Knoll retired after 46 years of service and is the longest serving police officer in his hometown of Lancaster, Massachusetts. He spoke about the many events of his career and has received numerous commendations and awards for his service. In his honor the officers training room at the Lancaster, Massachusetts Police Department is dedicated as the Officer Ronald Knoll Training Room.

Zebulon’s assistant town manager resigned Monday in what is the latest in a string of sudden resignations by town officials. Kellianne Williams was hired by the town in late November. The Zebulon native had been suspended before her firing for an undisclosed reason, the town’s board of commissioners said in a statement Tuesday“Zebulon is somewhere I was excited to combine my love for public service with my love of place,” Williams said in her resignation letter.
