Australian radio has been left reeling following the confirmation this year’s industry awards night, known as the ACRAs, has been scrapped. Known in the industry as the “Logies of radio”, the non-televised event is hosted by Commercial Radio & Audio (CRA) and regularly attracts the biggest celeb talent on the airwaves. However, according to an internal memo obtained by news.com.au, CRA have officially canned this year’s event as they overhaul the ceremony.

Veteran Channel Nine star Liz Hayes has confirmed her move to Channel Seven as a “guest correspondent” to handle one of the most anticipated TV interviews of the year. Two months after departing her decades-long career at Nine, the former 60 Minutes star, 68, has jumped ship to join rival current affairs show Spotlight. Hayes' first assignment for Spotlight is a tell-all interview with Lauren Zonfrillo, the widow of late MasterChef judge Jock Zonfrillo.
