Trout are great on croaker in about four feet of water. Drum are consistent over reefs on dead shrimp. Redfish have been coming off of shallow flats on shad.     What is believed to be Port Aransas' first shark sighting of 2025 has been confirmed thanks to a TikTok video that has gone viral. The video shows a baby shark swimming on the shallow end of the shore before making its way back into deeper parts of the water. San Antonio resident Rissaa Marie captured the video on her TikTok page, and has accumulated more than 5,000 likes on 2,000 shares throughout social media.

    ROUND ROCK — Gordon senior Maddox Stewart had a lot to be proud of after he and his teammates overcame a tragic event that shook the small Big Country town of nearly 500 people. An EF-1 tornado, which reached wind speeds of 105 miles per hour, struck Gordon on May 18, causing havoc and devastation to the town and the school district. Still, the Longhorns overcame the adversity by reaching the UIL state championship game for the first time in program history.
