    ELMIRA, NY (WETM) – If you’re looking for rain, you are in the right place. If you are looking for sunshine, you are also in the right place. We will have both in the Twin Tiers by the weekend. There are not a lot of changes in the forecast, except that I have added a few more degrees to the beginning of next week. We are still looking at the models and also comparing them to the radar that we have in nearly real-time.

    The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued the following weather alerts:⚠️Flash Flood Warning⏰ Until10:15 PM📍 SW Steuben County in NY↘️ At 713 PM EDT, Emergency management reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain, causing water over the roadways of State Routes 36, 248, and 417. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring.

    ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – Northwesterly flow sets up across the Great Lakes and it will lead to the return of scattered lake effect snow showers well to our north and some of that energy will eventually land in the Twin Tiers. Not a lot, but enough to drop off a few snowflakes.
