ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – Northwesterly flow sets up across the Great Lakes and it will lead to the return of scattered lake effect snow showers well to our north and some of that energy will eventually land in the Twin Tiers. Not a lot, but enough to drop off a few snowflakes.

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – A wintry mix of precipitation is in the Twin Tiers tonight and the early morning hours will be messy – and then suddenly not – before it all comes right back again for the weekend. Snow, freezing rain, sleet and just plain rain (in that order) will all happen before breakfast Thursday morning. Thus, slick roads will be the rule first thing in the morning. Buckle up!1-2″ of snow and sleet will make for messy travel over the next three days.
