Spectrum News, which was previously known as Time Warner Cable News, represents a collection of American cable news TV channels owned by Charter Communications following its purchase of Time Warner Cable in May 2016. The network consists of 15 regional channels that emphasize local news, weather updates, and sports events specific to their areas, while also covering national and international news topics. With the exception of NY1, the other six channels are not offered by other pay TV providers in their markets, such as Verizon FiOS, AT&T U-verse, DirecTV, or Dish Network.
