The Falmouth High School boys’ lacrosse team has neared the top of the mountain the past two years, but has never reached the summit. The Clippers are intent on making it to the top in 2025 and they took a step toward that goal on Wednesday afternoon at home with a dominant 13-4 victory over Old Rochester Regional to reach the Division 3 Elite Eight.

Just two days after leaving Fuller Field elated, the Falmouth High School baseball team had its season come to a disappointing end in Foxborough. FHS had advanced into the second round of the MIAA Division 3 state tournament with a thrilling extra innings walk-off victory over Fairhaven High, but Foxborough held the Clippers in check for most of the day and eliminated them with a 5-2 win on their home field.

The third time was not the charm for the Falmouth High School girls’ lacrosse team against Hanover High on Wednesday evening in the second round of the Division 3 state tournament. The Clippers had lost a pair of close games on the road against the Hawks during the regular season, and hoped that getting them at home in the third match-up would help get them over the top, but the seventh-seeded Clippers came up short to the No. 10 seed in a heartbreaker, 10-9.

Ryan has scored enough goals over his career for the Canalmen for several players. Reaching 100 career goals earlier this season, he finished his career with over 200 points. Ryan was a big reason that the Canalmen posted a winning record and easily earned a spot in this year’s state tournament.

A great season for the Mashpee High School girls' lacrosse team came to an end in the first round of the Division MIAA State Tournament on May 30. The Lady Falcons had to make the long trip up to Tyngsboro and came up short to their hosts, falling 21-11 on the road to the No. 13 seed in the field. The Tigers got off to a fast start and slowly pulled away over the course of the game. Tyngsboro ran out to a 6-3 lead at the end of a quarter, and led 11-6 at the half.

How has Steve Kerr left his starters out this long? The bench cuts 16 points off the lead and makes it reasonable and he stays with the scrubs. I don’t get it.
