The Enterprise News
The Enterprise has its roots in The Falmouth Local, which Lewis Foster Clark founded in 1886 within a shoe store on Main Street. Initially located near Shivericks Pond, The Local later relocated to the building now home to Caline for Kids. In 1895, Charles Sumner Burgess acquired The Local, changed its name to The Falmouth Enterprise, and continued its publication for three decades. In 1925, Harry Albro took ownership of The Enterprise. His name is commemorated on the veterans memorial located at the entrance of Memorial Lane, right in front of the Falmouth Public Library.
