Monday will kick off Maryland’s 2025 Severe Storms Awareness Week. The National Weather Service and the Maryland Department of Emergency Management are coordinating the effort, which will run April 7-13. A statewide tornado drill message will communicated via NOAA Weather Radio at 10:00am on Wednesday (4/9). This will also be broadcast over the Emergency Alert System (EAS) as part of the Required Monthly Test, which will be seen on TV and heard over the radio.
