    DELAWARE – A bill that would lower Delaware’s Renewable Portfolio Standard has been introduced in the state’s House. House Bill 80 was introduced after Delmarva Power was unable to purchase enough Renewable Energy Credits to comply with Delaware’s Renewable Portfolio Standard. According to State Senator Eric Buckson, as a result, Delmarva Power and their ratepayers have paid a $26 million Alternative Compliance Price over the past two years.

    DOVER, Del. – An investigation is underway into a shooting that left one injured Thursday evening in Dover. At around 6:15 p.m., Delaware State Police responded to the 1500 block of Nathaniel Mitchell Road for a reported shooting, learning that a 19-year-old man had been shot. The victim reportedly self-transported to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

    HARRINGTON, Del. – A Harrington man has been charged with arson following a house fire investigation. Shortly before 7:30 p.m. on April 8th, firefighters responded to a reported fire in the 500 block of Fairground Road. Crews arrived at the scene to find a fully involved house fire. The home was not occupied at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported. The house was deemed a total loss, with damage estimated at $200,000.
