    Jarvis Anthony David Henricks stole a $39,000 bracelet from a store at Sunshine Plaza in Maroochydore on 29 July. As reported by the Courier Mail, police prosecutor Mel Pyke told the court the 18-year-old assessed the jewellery store by sending videos and photos of its layout before asking to inspect the piece. He viewed the piece twice before snatching the bracelet and sprinting from the store, entering an Uber waiting nearby; however, he was intercepted by police a short time later.

A Van Cleef and Arpels emerald and diamond necklace sold for €174,000 ($AUD283,100), more than double its estimate.
