    COLLEYVILLE, Texas — When disaster hits, it often comes without warning. For one family in Colleyville, Monday afternoon brought the unimaginable. The family told WFAA lightning struck the home Monday afternoon, causing a fire. The owner said she, her parents and a caretaker were sitting at a table when the ceiling fell. They are expected to be OK. “In a moment’s notice, destruction and complete mayhem can happen,” said Wendy Stewart, who lives right across the street from the home that was hit.

    JACKSBORO, Texas — The Jack County Sheriff's Office is taking over law enforcement duties in Jacksboro after the entire police force resigned. “All of the officers left on their own free will,” said City Manager Mike Smith. Smith says all nine officers and former Chief of Police Bryan Corb resigned Wednesday. The Jacksboro Police Department has not yet responded to a request for more information. Jacksboro is located about 60 miles northwest of Fort Worth.
